Dr. Rajith KS

Dr. Rajith KS is an Interventional Cardiologist based in Mysore, where he practises at the Sri Jayadeva Institute and the Sara Heart Care Clinic. He is also available for consultation at Shanthaveri Gopala Gowda Memorial Hospital, Bhanavi Hospital and the Panacea Speciality Clinic.

Besides his MBBS degree Dr. Rajith has an MD in General Medicine and DNB in Cardiology. He is presently working as Assistant Professor (Cardiology) at the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Mysore.

Dr. Rajith is actively involved in post-graduate teaching and has shared his expertise relating to several areas of Cardiology including coronary angiograms, angioplasty, pacemakers, balloon valvotomy, and ASD and PDA device closure procedures. Previously he has held the positions of Registrar, DNB Cardiology, at Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain Heart Centre, Bangalore; Tutor in Nephrology at Institute of Nephro-Urology, Bangalore; and, Assistant Professor at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore.

Dr. Rajith has extensive experience with various procedures dealing with cardiac emergencies including evaluation of patients' conditions, investigating and treating them, and following up on these cases. He is familiar with cardiac investigations such as transthoracic and transesophageal echo, contrast echo, 3D Echo, TMT test, Holter ECG and SAECG. Besides, he is also trained in dealing with cases involving arterial line insertion, coronary and peripheral angiograms and angioplasty, balloon valvotomies, pericardiocentesis, ASD and PDA device closures, alcohol septal ablation, permanent pacemaker insertions, etc.

In the field of research, Dr. Rajith has worked as co-investigator in many clinical trials such as Anti Xa inhibitors in AF, Anti Xa inhibitors in VTE with heart failure, stem cell therapy in post MI patients, besides many others.
